Letter, June 6, 1849.

Letter of June 6, 1849, Philadelphia, PA to Alpheus Felch regarding compensation from the capture of the frigate Philadelphia to which her late uncle was entitled. As his adopted niece she is entitled to a share of the prize. She seeks Felch's influence on her behalf as the bill is now before Congress. Twiggs is a widow with three children. Her husband died during the Mexican War.
